Veteran Nollywood actor and social commentator, Chiwetalu Agu recently released a video where he shared his thoughts about Nigerian artists who were at the 67th Grammy Awards. He gave a special mention to Yemi Alade.
The Best African Music Performance category had the likes of Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Burnaboy, Davido, Tems and Rema as nominees. Although Tems brought home the win, the spotlight has been on Yemi Alade’s stunning dresses.
Yemi Alade attended the event dressed like a typical Edo bride in a red dress that accentuated her curves, giving rise to tons of compliments.
In a new video, Chiwetalu Agu, notable for creating blissful content with his wife, praised Yemi Alade over her choice of outfit.
According to him, she not only represented Afrobeats, but she did a good job putting Africa on the global map.
Agu posted on Instagram:
“Yemi Alade, you are a queen, the queen you think you are. She may not ahve won a Grammy but she won my heart. if there is nobody to say it, I chief Chiwetala Agu will.”

Yemi Alade was one of the personalities we wrote about as she came through in style, rocking a full Edo queen regalia. Tems was the star of the night as she bagged an award and showed it off in her gorgeous vintage outfit.
Two-time Grammy winner Tems also made Nigeria proud with her outfit, and this time she wore something that wouldn’t obstruct the view of other guests at the ceremony.
