The Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN), known as one of Nigeria’s largest guilds in the entertainment sector, is gearing up for its second edition of the Creative Exhibition, tagged “Redefining Culture for Economic Productivity through Film Industry in Nigeria.” The event will hold on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

According to announcements on the guild’s official Instagram pages, the exhibition aims to bring together designers, filmmakers, cultural entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders to explore how Nigeria’s culture and film sector can drive economic growth. In a post captioned “Re-defining culture for economic productivity,” state chapter chairmen invited members and the public to the CRE2.0 event in Lagos.
What to Expect at CDGN’s Exhibition 2.0
Speakers at the event are expected to include top creative professionals, film producers, culture economists, and guild leadership. Discussions will revolve around harnessing Nigerian culture through filmmaking, design, and narrative to boost economic outcomes.
In addition to panel sessions, the exhibition will feature design showcases, film concept displays, and networking corners where emerging creatives can pitch ideas and find collaborators. The event also promises live demonstrations and interactive segments designed to elevate connections between culture and commerce.
Guild president Akinyemi (as referenced in the Champion News coverage) emphasized that CRE2.0 is not just a display of aesthetics and creativity but a strategic platform to reposition Nigeria’s culture and film industry as key contributors to national revenue.
The CDGN community and the public are encouraged to attend what is framed as a pivotal gathering for the creative economy. With the theme centered around economic productivity through culture and film, the exhibition aligns with ongoing efforts to rebrand the creative sector as a driver of jobs, international soft power, and internal value chains.
