Burna Boy, a Nigerian Grammy winner whose real name is Damini Ogulu, has come under fire from his fellow countrymen after being spotted having sex with Seyi Tinubu, the son of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the country’s president.

Many were taken aback when Burna Boy, who is frequently commended for using his songs to draw attention to social concerns and economic inequalities, was seen mingling with Seyi Tinubu in a nightclub.

Recent hostilities between Seyi Tinubu and seasoned Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem are a major contributing factor to the dispute.

In a recent protest song called “Tell Your Papa,” Abdulkareem attacked President Tinubu and his son for the deteriorating economic situation in Nigeria.

Since then, the National Broadcasting Commission has prohibited the song.

Seyi publicly praised his father as the “greatest president” Nigeria has ever had, which many Nigerians felt was callous given the nation’s ongoing challenges.

This prompted Eedris Abdulkareem to criticise him.

Burna Boy’s interactions with Seyi Tinubu while accompanied by Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan fuelled the flames.

Online videos seem to show the three conversing briefly, with the American celebrity appearing to be the main focus.

However, internet users were quick to voice dissatisfaction about Burna Boy’s connection to Seyi.
