Veteran actress Zainab Bukky Ajayi who died at 82 on Wednesday, July 6, had breast cancer, hypertension and diabetes, her sons revealed in exclusive chats with Vanguard newspaper.

They even volunteered that their mom, who passed on at 11:23 am, suffered stroke and cerebral malaria at a point.

The Nollywood legend who was buried at Atan cemetery later in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6, became a Muslim in 1965.

She died in her Surulere, Lagos home in front of one of her sons and his friends.
