Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has shared a major update on her hit movie “Where Love Lives,” and it’s one that has brought relief to both her and her fans.
A few minutes ago, Bimbo took to Instagram to announce that monetization has now been fully restored on the film, after it was demonetized days ago due to a copyright claim.
The movie, which has won many hearts online, was reportedly taken off monetization about five days ago after a man identified as Emmanuel Davies falsely claimed ownership of a song used in the project. According to Bimbo, the claim came when the movie had already reached around 18 million views, meaning a huge amount of revenue and recognition was suddenly put at risk.
It was an emotional moment for the actress when she first spoke about the situation. She had posted a tearful video calling out the false copyright claim, and the issue quickly drew attention across social media.
Fans, fellow actors, and even legal professionals began to speak up, as the situation raised wider conversations around piracy, intellectual property theft, and the way platforms like YouTube handle copyright disputes.
Many people pointed out how frustrating it can be for original creators to lose income and control over their work because of weak verification systems that sometimes allow false claims to succeed temporarily.

Thankfully, Bimbo has now returned with good news.In her latest post, she expressed deep gratitude as she confirmed that monetization has been restored and the movie has now crossed 19 million views.
She also poured love on her mother, describing her as her joy, her heart, and her best friend. Bimbo shared how her mother always drops everything to make sure she is okay, especially during stressful moments like this.
Beyond that, she also thanked her loyal fanbase, her “cyber family” for standing by her throughout the ordeal. In her usual heartfelt way, she reminded them that she will never stop appreciating the love and support they constantly show her, even when she feels imperfect.
This restoration feels like more than just a win for one movie. It highlights the importance of protecting Nigerian creatives and ensuring that filmmakers and artists do not suffer unnecessary losses due to fraudulent copyright actions.
For now, fans are celebrating with her as “Where Love Lives” continues its impressive run online, proving once again how much impact Nollywood stories can have when audiences show up and support.
