A video of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson dancing to the gospel hymn Abata went viral, sparking outrage on the internet.
She proudly displayed her slimmer body in the video, claiming that her slimming tea was the reason for the change.
Stanley Ontop, a Nollywood producer, released the video on Instagram after it was first uploaded on TikTok. He wrote, complimenting Mercy’s appearance:

However, Angela Okorie, another actress, was offended by the video and used the chance to brutally attack Mercy in the comment area.
Angela Okorie made serious accusations regarding her prior behaviour and accused her of hiding behind her slimming tea advertising.

Mercy Johnson’s dramatic weight loss has garnered attention recently, and her much thinner appearance in recent videos has prompted many followers to react.
She advertised her product line and her physique change in previous articles.
Another recent video caused controversy on the internet as viewers pointed out changes in her body composition, emphasising her longer neck, smaller curves, and lack of her typical hips and shape.
Mercy seemed assured of her new appearance in spite of the criticism, and she enthusiastically continued to tout the benefits of her slimming tea.
