London saw the first ever African Pride Awards take place on Sunday theย 31st of July 2016 at the highbrow venue of Cafe De Paris. The awardย ceremony which was organised by Africa Unplugged and Therapyย Entertainment LTD was solely set up to honour Africans making incredibleย strides in their different industries in the UK and the African diasporaย community at large. The night thoroughly showcased the African cultureย in all its splendour with top entertainers from comedy, music and danceย thrilling the guests. The event was hosted by popular UK broadcastersย Adesope Olajide and Amanda Star of Factory78, Vox Africa TV, Ben TV andย Beat FM respectively, the gala night was well attended with over 350
guest from celebrities from the world of sport and the movers andย shakers of the UK entertainment industry With stars such as Chris Eubankย Jnr, African boxing champion Larry Ekundayo, Capital extras Tim Westwood
and Wild N Out”s Kojo the comedian amongst the attendees. amazingย performances from Coco Mbassi, Bantu Arts African Dancers, ITV’s Lateefย Lovejoy to name a few.
