Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has today, Friday October 16, 2015 appealed to the military to comply with the state traffic and environmental laws.
The Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Dr Idiat Adebule, made the appeal at the Lagos House, Alausa during a courtesy visit by participants of Course 24 National Defence College, Abuja led by Brig.-Gen. Mahe Bashir.
Ambode sought the cooperation of the military in moving the state forward.
“Over the years, the military has cooperated with us but I once again seek for more cooperation in ensuring that these laws are adhered to seriously.
’’The issue of security is very important and we want you to please continue in that trend so that together we can make Lagos the Lagos of our dreams,” he said.
Bashir said that the officers were on a five-day strategic study tour to understudy the internal revenue service of the state and one of the objectives of the tour was to expose participants to the socio-political economic realities of the state.
He said that the participants were expected to carry out a research on selected topical issues, with a view to proffering solutions and identifying challenges.
