Ahead of this year’s #AMVCA, Stephanie Linus’ ‘Dry’ wins at the Pan African Film Festival

Ahead of next week’s Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, Stephanie Linus’ movie, Dry has won the Programmers’ Award for Narrative Feature at the recently concluded Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, USA.

PAFF’s goal to present and showcase the broad spectrum of Black creative works, particularly those that reinforce positive images and help destroy negative stereotypes was given to ‘Dry’ alongside other filmmakers from across the world whose movies were screened at the largest and most prestigious black film festival in America.

Dry has also won a host of local and international awards including the ‘Best Protagonist’ Award at the Bentonville Film Festival in Arkansas, USA.

 

The Stephanie Linus’ inspired movie is nominated in 9 categories at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2016 (AMVCA) which comes up next Saturday, March 5, in Lagos, Nigeria.
