A woman identified as Agnes Okafor, said to be the ex wife of popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, has finally spoken publicly after years of silence, as videos of her emotional testimony continue to circulate online.
In the video, Agnes introduced herself by name and claimed she married Pastor Chris Okafor when she was 18 years old. According to her, the marriage produced four children (three daughters and a son) within five years. She explained that she had chosen to remain silent for the past 14 years, not out of fear or weakness, but to protect her children and out of respect for them.
Agnes stated that she decided to speak now because she believes the truth has been repeatedly misrepresented. She alleged that Pastor Chris Okafor is a paedophile, rapist, and manipulator, stressing that these are serious claims she says she is ready to defend. She called for a public DNA test, insisting that many people who were present during their marriage are still alive and can confirm parts of her story.
She also challenged the long-standing narrative, which she claims Pastor Chris Okafor has promoted, that their marriage ended because she was allegedly caught in adultery. According to Agnes, she was the one who left the marriage, not the other way around. She said she left due to physical abuse and assault, adding that she has medical reports to support her claims.
In another revelation, Agnes alleged that she once discovered a wedding certificate indicating another marriage after they were already married. She said she confronted Pastor Chris Okafor about it, but he denied any wrongdoing.
The most controversial part of her testimony involved allegations that Pastor Chris Okafor had sexual relationships with several female members of his church, including some deaconesses, whom she claimed had children for him. Agnes alleged that some of these women were silenced with money and mentioned specific names during the video.
She emphasised that her decision to speak now is not driven by bitterness but by a desire for truth and accountability, insisting that she can no longer stay quiet while, according to her, false narratives continue to spread.
As of the time of this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to the specific allegations made by Agnes Okafor in the circulating videos. Nigerians online remain sharply divided, with many calling for law enforcement agencies to investigate the claims thoroughly, while others urge caution against trial by social media.
The unfolding situation continues to draw national attention as more voices and allegations emerge around the controversy.
