The Africa Cup of Nations which was supposed to start on January 9, 2021 has been postponed to January 22 due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic across the earth.
The Confederation of African
Football (CAF) announced this in an official statement which reads thus; “After consultation with stakeholders and taking into consideration the current global situation, the tournament has been rescheduled for January 2022.
“The date for the final tournament and the remaining matches of the qualifiers will be communicated in due course.”
