Fuji veteran Adewale Ayuba has broken his silence following swirling reports that he is embroiled in a divorce and paternity fraud scandal. He insists that the allegations are baseless and that his reputation is being maliciously attacked.

In a statement released via his management and shared on social media, Ayuba labeled the sensational claims as “fabricated” and “malicious.” He says the aim is just to tarnish his name. According to him, there is no truth to the rumours that he is divorcing his wife or that any paternity dispute exists.
He emphasized that he and his wife, Azuka Ego, have been married for over 30 years, with their union never plagued by questions of parenthood. He said the online report, which claimed he secretly conducted a DNA test and subsequently divorced his wife, is a deliberate smear campaign. Ayuba added that his integrity and public image are being threatened, and he will not allow falsehoods to stand.

He threatened to take legal action against the source of the rumors, demanding that those responsible be held accountable for defamation. His legal team is reportedly already on standby, ready to pursue all available remedies in court.
Many fans and observers expressed relief that Ayuba addressed the matter directly. On his Instagram page, the singer reiterated that the story is a total lie and reaffirmed unity with his family. He also referred to the blogger behind the report as “reckless and faceless,” further dismissing the claims in strong terms.
As the story continues to attract attention, followers will be watching closely to see if Ayuba follows through with his promise to pursue legal recourse. For now, the controversy highlights once again how quickly rumors can spread in the digital age and how much is at stake when a public figure fights to defend their reputation.
