Ned Nwoko, the Nigerian senator, has threatened to sue bloggers and social media users who spread false reports about his estranged wife, Regina Daniels.
He warned against fake death announcements and misleading claims about her health. He also urged the public to give the actress breathing space as she battles health challenges.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Nwoko appealed to Daniels’ fans, friends and social media commentators to show her love and support.
“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space. I make this appeal not just for her sake, but also for the sake of the kids, who are very well cared for and deserve to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to get better,” he wrote.
Nwoko warns bloggers over false reports
The senator said Daniels had endured a lot and needed support to recover.
He also raised concerns about false reports on her health. According to him, the actress sees many of the posts, which cause her distress.
“I am particularly concerned about the circulation of false and disturbing reports about her, including fabricated death announcements, misleading stories and other hurtful content. These things are not harmless social media engagement. Regina sees many of these posts, and they are deeply distressing,” he added.
Nwoko warned bloggers and social media users to stop spreading false stories. He said he would take legal action against those responsible.
“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels. There is a limit to what should be tolerated, and that limit has been reached. Regina deserves the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories every day.”

Daniels recently spoke about a prolonged health battle. She said she had suffered severe pain and struggled to move. The actress also revealed that she sometimes needed a wheelchair.
The couple’s marital crisis became public in October 2025. A viral video showed Daniels in tears as she accused Nwoko of domestic violence.
The senator later accused the actress of drug and alcohol addiction. Daniels admitted to using hard drugs but accused him of encouraging her drug use to control and manipulate her.
In January, the actress shared videos of herself taking a drug test at an unnamed hospital.
