Omah Lay postpones ‘Clarity of Mind’ tour dates over knee injury

Omah Lay, the Nigerian singer, has postponed concerts on his ongoing ‘Clarity of Mind’ world tour from October 30 due to a knee ligament injury.

The singer announced the decision in a post via X. He said he would focus on recovery over the next four to six weeks. He also promised updates on new dates and tickets.

“Spirits, I’m heartbroken to share that due to a knee ligament injury, all CLARITY OF MIND TOUR dates from October 30th onwards are postponed as I focus on recovery over the next 4–6 weeks,” he wrote.

“Rescheduled dates and ticket updates to follow. Thank you for your love. Boy alone.”

The announcement follows reports that Omah Lay had been rushed to hospital after injuring his leg during rehearsals in Los Angeles, California. Reports said he sustained the injury while performing an acrobatic stunt.

Omah Lay launched the world tour on September 25 in Edmonton, Canada. He named the tour after his second studio album.

The singer was due to perform in Toronto before travelling to Auckland, Brisbane and Muscat. His schedule also included Istanbul, Zurich, Brussels, Berlin, Milan and London.

The tour was set to end in Warsaw, Poland, on November 30. However, the injury has forced him to delay the affected shows while he recovers.

Omah Lay has yet to announce new dates for the postponed concerts.
