Tolu Arokodare reaches 100 career goals after scoring for Ajax in a 2-0 UEFA Conference League victory over Atalanta Thursday. The Nigerian forward entered in the 66th minute and broke the deadlock with a composed finish in the 87th minute.
His milestone goal marked his 100th career strike across club and international football, according to reports published following the match. Arokodare then provided an assist for teenager Abdellah Ouazane in stoppage time, helping Ajax secure three points against Italian opposition.
The 2-0 victory gave Ajax their first win in this season’s Conference League phase after losing their opening fixture previously. Coming off the bench, Arokodare changed the contest late, giving Ajax the attacking breakthrough they had struggled to find earlier.
His post-match celebration focused on gratitude, as the striker thanked God and everyone supporting his journey through football so far. The 25-year-old shared his achievement on social media, acknowledging the people whose encouragement and guidance helped him reach this significant milestone.
