Nigeria’s Oma Osele has won the Miss Continental World 2026 pageant in Thailand, emerging as the overall winner after competing against contestants from more than 20 countries and clinching two additional awards.
Osele, a 28-year-old model, entrepreneur and medical laboratory scientist, secured the crown at the grand finale in Ayutthaya on October 9.
India’s Shreeya Panda finished as the first runner-up, while Thailand’s Pornpaya Rianju emerged as the second runner-up.
Beyond winning the main title, Osele claimed the ‘Queen of Africa’ award, which recognises the highest-placed African contestant, and the ‘Best National Costume’ prize for her cultural presentation outfit.
Her victory follows another achievement in September when she won the ‘World Premiere Award’ after topping the global fan vote on Eventista’s 1Vote platform.
Born Iruomachukwu Osele, she represented Nigeria at the international competition after winning EliteGlam Pageant Nigeria 2025. The Lagos-based model also works as an entrepreneur and medical laboratory scientist.
Osele’s performance at the pageant highlights her success across the competition’s main title and special award categories, giving Nigeria a strong showing at the international event.
Nigeria also recorded a notable result in the male category, as its representative, Unwana Sambo Essien, finished third runner-up at the Mister Continental World 2026 competition held on the same night.
Thailand’s Karnajit Ningthoujam won the men’s title, while Essien secured the ‘King of Kings’ title and the ‘Best National Attire’ award.
