Cristiano Ronaldo Al-Nassr return began after the Portuguese superstar arrived back in Saudi Arabia and resumed training with his club. The 41-year-old forward returned to Al-Nassr following his unexpected departure from Portugal’s national team camp during the international break period.
Ronaldo left Portugal’s camp after a disagreement surrounding his role under new head coach Jorge Jesus during Nations League fixtures. After returning to Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr training Monday as preparations continued for the club’s upcoming league fixture.
Al-Nassr welcomed Ronaldo back publicly, sharing an image of the captain and calling him the greatest of all time globally. Meanwhile, Ronaldo appeared with a new hairstyle during his return to the club’s training facilities in Riyadh earlier Monday morning.
His return gives Al-Nassr a major boost as the Saudi Pro League campaign continues following the latest international break period. Ronaldo now turns his attention toward club football while questions remain about his future with Portugal’s national team setup again.
Jorge Jesus has already stated that Ronaldo can return to Portugal whenever he chooses, leaving the door open for reconciliation. However, the Portuguese forward has not yet provided further details about his decision to leave the team camp publicly.
For Al-Nassr, Ronaldo’s immediate priority remains preparing for next Friday’s upcoming league match against Al-Diriyah at home in Saudi Arabia. The forward last played for Portugal against Wales before leaving the team setup following developments involving Jesus and federation officials.
