Tyson Fury Trump ring walk plans have emerged ahead of his December 11 heavyweight showdown against Anthony Joshua in Cardiff. Fury says he will invite United States President Donald Trump to lead his procession before the anticipated British heavyweight clash.
The former heavyweight champion described Trump as an old friend while acknowledging presidential responsibilities could make attendance difficult for Trump. Fury and Joshua will meet at Cardiff’s 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium for their long-awaited all-British heavyweight contest on December 11.
The proposed Tyson Fury Trump ring walk would add another high-profile element to an already heavily anticipated night of boxing. Fury met Trump during UFC Freedom 250 at the White House in June, strengthening their public relationship before this fight.
During that meeting, Fury wore a cap featuring Donald Trump for Prime Minister while attending the White House event there. Fury has also described his Joshua bout as preparation for his larger ambition of completing a trilogy against Oleksandr Usyk worldwide.
Usyk has defeated Fury twice, making another meeting with the Ukrainian heavyweight a major motivation for Fury beyond Joshua. Meanwhile, Fury says he remains confident ahead of the Joshua contest, describing himself as feeling fantastic at 38 years old.
The December showdown follows months of anticipation surrounding the British rivals, who recently met during a London press conference together. Both fighters now enter the final preparations, with their Cardiff meeting expected to attract significant global attention from boxing fans.
If Trump accepts Fury’s invitation, his presence would create an unusual spectacle before one of Britain’s biggest heavyweight fights overall.
