Lagos, Nigeria: Obsidian Advisory Africa is set to convene over 500 fashion talents and 100+ fashion businesses in Lagos on 22 and 23 October 2026 for the 5th edition of its Fashion Career Fair, creating stronger pathways from skills development to employment and business opportunities. Obsidian is a workforce development firm dedicated to connecting talents and businesses to opportunity. Since its inception, it has worked with various organisations including LSETF, Jobberman, Mastercard Foundation, GIZ, Ethnocentrique to implement & design programs that respond to workforce & employment needs.
The two-day event opens with a Virtual Talent Summit on 22 October, giving talents across Nigeria access to conversations on careers, skills, and opportunity in the fashion industry.
On 23 October, the Fashion Employer Town Hall and the Fashion Career Fair take place in Lagos. The Employer Town Hall will bring businesses and industry stakeholders together to discuss workforce needs, skills gaps and recruitment challenges before the Career Fair opens the floor for on-the-spot hiring and networking.
At the centre of this year’s edition is Obsidian’s Sprint Recruitment Program (SRP), which has trained 500 fashion talents for in-demand roles across the fashion value chain ahead of the fair. SRP talents will be pre-matched with participating businesses based on skills and role fit, creating a structured pipeline of trained, employer-ready talent for businesses looking to recruit.
