Taylor Swift, Lisa, Raye, Shaboozey and other music stars have arrived for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The stars turned up at the Peacock Theatre on Sunday for the annual ceremony, which features major performances, tributes and awards.
Swift is among the biggest names at this year’s event. She will premiere her “Patient Zero” music video during the show. The singer will also receive the inaugural Artist-Director Award.
Stars hit the red carpet
Lisa, Raye, Shaboozey, Gunna, Tyla, Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, Bebe Rexha and Paris Hilton were among the stars who attended the ceremony.
Sienna Spiro also made her VMAs debut this year. Raye will make her performance debut at the awards alongside her other appearances on the night.
Other stars who attended include Chloe Bailey, JoJo, Ciara Miller, Stella Lefty, Rei Ami, Blu DeTiger, Bella Poarch, Orville Peck, Slayyyter, French Montana, Teyana Taylor, Ella Bright and Andrew Watt.
Meek, Sombr, Alex Warren, Emma Bunton, Belmont Cameli and Taylor Swift also appeared at the event.
Major performances
The ceremony features performances from Madonna, Lisa, Raye, Shaboozey, Gunna, Sienna Spiro, GENER8ION and Yung Lean.
Shaboozey will perform “Cowgirl” before joining Gunna for the first broadcast performance of their collaboration “High Noon.”
Lisa will debut her new single “SaWaDiKa” on television. GENER8ION and Yung Lean will also premiere “STORM II” onstage.
RAYE, Sombr and Teddy Swims will perform a tribute to George Michael.
Tributes and honours
Kacey Musgraves will lead a tribute to Dolly Parton. The performance marks Musgraves’ first appearance on the VMAs stage in five years.
Musgraves is also nominated for best country for “Dry Spell.”
Nirvana will receive this year’s Video Vanguard Award. The honour comes 34 years after the band first performed at the VMAs in 1992.
The 2026 ceremony also marks the first time the VMAs have returned to Los Angeles since 2017.
The event is hosted by Snoop Dogg and airs live from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles
