Nollywood actress Nancy Iheme has revealed why she took a break from acting in 2026, saying she stepped away to pursue a master’s degree in Poland.
Iheme disclosed this in a birthday post on her Instagram page. She said education and personal growth influenced her decision.
“2026 has been a very significant year for me. One of the biggest things I promised myself this year was to take a break from acting and pursue my master’s degree in Poland,” she said.
“Today, I can proudly say I’m doing it.”
The actress said leaving something she loves required courage. However, she said she was happy with her decision to focus on a new chapter.
“It takes courage to step away from what you love, even temporarily, to make room for something greater,” she wrote.
“I’m proud of myself for choosing growth, education, and a new chapter. I know this decision is part of a bigger plan that God has for me.”
Meanwhile, Iheme thanked those who have supported her acting career. She said their kindness, opportunities and encouragement have strengthened her.
The actress also said their friendship has shown her that prayers can be answered through other people.
“As I step into this new age, I pray for greater clarity, divine direction, deeper wisdom, good health, genuine happiness, meaningful relationships and financial abundance,” she wrote.
For Iheme, the break from acting is therefore a chance to focus on her education. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Poland while taking time away from the screen.
