Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, has denied reports that the actress reconciled with her estranged husband, Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko, saying Regina only visited his residence after he invited her to see their children.
The visit to Nwoko’s house over the weekend sparked speculation that the estranged couple had resolved their differences and reunited.
Rita addressed the reports during a private Instagram chat with actor Uche Maduagwu, who later shared their conversation publicly.
“It is well, my dear. She was invited to see her children; that was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern,” Rita said.
Meanwhile, Regina’s younger sister, Destiny Daniels, also addressed the speculation on her Instagram Story.
According to Destiny, Regina visited to see her children and not because she had reconciled with Nwoko. She also dismissed claims that the actress was pregnant, attributing her changed appearance to weight gain.
Destiny further described her sister as “still very much single for now.”
The visit also frustrated some Nigerians and celebrities who supported Regina during her separation from Nwoko.
Actor Stanley Ontop, who strongly backed Regina during the dispute, said he felt blindsided by the visit.
“I almost went to prison because of this case. I was the one who posted the video of where they were harassing Regina at Ned’s house. I was almost arrested because they were looking for me to be arrested. Now, let’s say you didn’t go there to stay; let’s agree that you went there to see your children, and you were that relaxed?” he said.
Regina and Nwoko married traditionally in May 2019 and have two sons, Munir and Khalifa.
Their marriage faced intense public scrutiny in 2025 following allegations of domestic violence and drug addiction, as well as the detention of Regina’s brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels.
