Social media personalities Carter Efe and Speed Darlington will clash in a celebrity boxing match on October 1 at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Balmoral Group Promotion announced the fight in an Instagram post on Sunday. The bout will be the first time Efe and Darlington meet in the boxing ring.
Both entertainers have previous celebrity boxing experience.
Efe defeated singer Portable by unanimous decision in a celebrity boxing match in May.
The fight came after a heated pre-fight press conference between Efe and Portable. The skit maker went on to claim victory in the ring.
Darlington also faced Portable in a 2025 boxing match. Their bout followed a dispute over performance fees.
The dispute started after Darlington invited Portable to perform at an event and offered him N500,000. Portable refused to attend and mocked Darlington for being “poor”.
Darlington then accused Portable of insulting his mother.
Portable responded by challenging Darlington to a fight. He also boasted that he would defeat Darlington just as he did to actor Charles Okocha.
The two entertainers later settled their dispute in the boxing ring.
Portable knocked out Darlington after an intense first-round exchange. Darlington failed to answer the bell for the second round, giving Portable a technical knockout (TKO) victory.
Darlington will now return to the ring against Efe, who enters the contest after his win over Portable.
Organisers arranged the October 1 bout following popular demand.
The clash will give Darlington another chance to compete in celebrity boxing. Efe, meanwhile, will look to build on his victory over Portable.
