Kelsey Mitchell Sets WNBA Record With 21 Straight 20-Point Games

Kelsey Mitchell WNBA record now stands at 21 consecutive games scoring twenty points, creating history during Indiana’s loss Thursday night. The Indiana Fever guard reached the milestone during the second quarter against Dallas, scoring twenty-one points before halftime alone.

Mitchell finished with thirty-seven points, matching her season high while shooting nine-of-eighteen from the field and four-of-seven from three. Although Indiana lost 91-85, Mitchell’s performance delivered one of the biggest individual achievements of the WNBA season so far.

Previously, A’ja Wilson held the record after producing twenty consecutive games with at least twenty points across two seasons. However, Mitchell’s remarkable streak has unfolded entirely during the 2026 regular season, making her achievement even more impressive statistically.

Notably, Mitchell has averaged 27.6 points during the streak while shooting an outstanding fifty percent from three-point range. Beyond the scoring streak, Mitchell reached 912 points this season, surpassing her previous Fever single-season franchise record of 890 points.

She also became only the fourth player in WNBA history to reach nine-hundred points during one regular season. Additionally, Mitchell recorded her 139th career twenty-point game, passing Fever legend Tamika Catchings for the franchise record.

Meanwhile, Indiana’s defeat ended its five-game winning streak, leaving the Fever with a 24-13 record after Thursday’s result. Despite the defeat, Kelsey Mitchell WNBA record achievement adds another remarkable chapter to her growing legacy with Indiana.

With seven regular-season games remaining, Mitchell can extend her streak further while chasing additional scoring milestones before the playoffs arrive.
