Veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is reportedly battling stage-four cancer, according to his daughters. Lima and Kira Taiwo made separate emotional appeals on Instagram, seeking help from medical professionals and hospitals.
The daughters said hospitals have refused to continue treating their father, despite his serious health condition and ongoing treatment. “Please, I’m here to ask for help for my dad,” one daughter reportedly said during her emotional appeal.
She explained that her father has stage-four cancer and urgently needs a hospital capable of continuing his treatment. According to the appeal, the family is not requesting financial assistance because money remains available for his medical care.
The family reportedly said Senator Solomon Yayi has been supporting the actor’s medical expenses throughout his ongoing treatment. However, the daughters claimed doctors have told them they can no longer continue treating the veteran actor.
Taiwo Hassan’s family now wants hospitals, oncologists, cancer specialists, and medical professionals with relevant experience to intervene. The daughters also appealed to Nigerians and well-wishers who could connect the family with suitable cancer treatment facilities.
Taiwo Hassan, popularly called Ogogo, remains one of Nigeria’s respected veteran actors with a long-standing career. As the family searches for medical assistance, supporters continue hoping that Taiwo Hassan Ogogo cancer treatment can receive renewed attention.
The family has stressed that their priority remains finding qualified medical professionals who can give Ogogo another chance.
