The organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have revealed that Neche voluntarily exited the reality TV show because of “pressing personal matters” that required her immediate attention.
Neche announced her departure shortly after Sunday’s eviction show, gathering the remaining housemates in the lounge to inform them that she was leaving the competition.
Her sudden decision shocked both her fellow housemates and fans, as she did not disclose a specific reason for her exit at the time.
However, in a statement released by MultiChoice on Monday, the organisers confirmed that Neche left the BBNaija Season 11 house voluntarily on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
“MultiChoice Nigeria and the Big Brother Naija production team confirm that housemate Neche exited the BBNaija Season 11 House voluntarily on Sunday, 16 August 2026,” the statement reads.
“Neche took this decision as a result of pressing personal matters, which she said required immediate attention. We applaud Neche’s energy and commitment to the show, evident in her notable wins and achievements in the house.
“While we are sad to see her leave the house, we respect her decision and wish her continued success in her endeavours. She remains part of the BBNaija family, and we look forward to seeing all that she will achieve beyond the show.”
The organisers did not provide further details about the nature of the personal matters that prompted Neche’s departure.
