Nigerian singer Fave has warned admirers not to send the gifts she considers below standard after expressing disappointment over an anonymous bouquet she received.
The singer shared her reaction in a video on social media. She criticised both the bouquet and the sender’s decision to remain anonymous. According to her, the gift made her feel irritated instead of appreciated.
Fave criticises anonymous bouquet
Speaking in the video, Fave said the bouquet failed to impress her from the moment she received it.
“Somebody sent me a bouquet, and I feel irritated because this is the bouquet, and the craziest thing about it is that the person decided to be anonymous. They didn’t even write their name on the card.”
She also complained about the handwritten note that came with the flowers. She said it looked poorly prepared and lacked the effort she expected from someone trying to impress her.
“They wrote this little note for me, and it’s not even an actual card. Look at the paper it was written on. Are you kidding me? You want to be anonymous? Where is the motivation to want to know who this person is? I actually do not want to know who you are.”
Singer sends message to admirers
Fave also questioned why the sender had not contacted her to confirm she received the flowers. She said the gift was not worth trying to trace back to its sender.
“Why would you send me this, and the craziest thing about it is that nobody has messaged me to ask if I received the flowers.”
The singer ended the video with a clear warning. She told admirers not to send her flowers unless they were of a quality she could genuinely appreciate. She added that anyone who chooses to send a gift she considers disappointing should include their name instead of staying anonymous.
