Grammy-winning Nigerian Afro-fusion star Burna Boy will headline the opening day of the 2026 Reggae Land Festival in the United Kingdom on July 31.

The festival will take place at the Milton Keynes National Bowl. The show will mark the debut of the ‘Ye’ hitmaker at one of the UK’s biggest reggae and dancehall events.

Organisers expanded the festival to three days after fans snapped up tickets for the original August 1–2 dates in record time. As a result, Burna Boy will lead the lineup on the newly added opening day.

He will perform alongside major acts such as Vybz Kartel, Shenseea, Beenie Man, Shaggy, Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley, Masicka, Christopher Martin and Julian Marley.

Meanwhile, the announcement follows Burna Boy’s appearance at the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show.

The singer shared the stage with Justin Bieber, Madonna and South Korean boy band BTS during the 11-minute performance at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, first gained attention with ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album L.I.F.E released in 2013.

Since then, he has become one of Africa’s biggest music stars. In addition, he has built a global fan base with his blend of Afrobeats, reggae and dancehall.

His albums include L.I.F.E (2013), On a Spaceship (2015), Outside (2018), African Giant (2019), Twice As Tall (2020), Love, Damini (2022), I Told Them (2023) and No Sign of Weakness (2025).

Furthermore, Burna Boy holds the record for the most Grammy nominations by a Nigerian artiste with 13 nominations. He also won his first Grammy in 2021 for Twice As Tall in the “Best World Music Album” category.
