AY Makun has shared a thought-provoking message about the growing culture of division in society, saying people are now more focused on taking sides than understanding what really went wrong.

The comedian took to his X account to speak on emotional pain, accountability, and the way many people react to conflicts, especially in relationships and public conversations. According to him, society has normalised defending one side immediately, often without hearing the full story or acknowledging shared responsibility.
“We have normalised choosing sides so much that we no longer ask what truly went wrong,” AY wrote. He added that emotional neglect and betrayal are both painful experiences, but warned that one hurt should not automatically become an excuse for another.
AY also suggested that more relationships would survive difficult moments if accountability were shared instead of constantly placed on one person. His message appeared to encourage people to embrace understanding, honesty, and emotional maturity rather than fueling blame and division.
