Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate Maria Chike Benjamin has addressed long standing allegations that labeled her a homewrecker, saying she was unaware her now husband was married when their relationship began.

Maria made the clarification during a recent appearance on the WithChude podcast hosted by Chude Jideonwo, where she spoke candidly about the controversy that trailed her relationship with her partner, Kelvin Anene.

During the interview, Maria directly addressed the claims that she broke up a home, insisting that the narrative that spread online was misrepresented.

“I wasn’t aware that he was married when we started dating,” she said firmly.
