Pharrell Williams, the acclaimed musician, producer, filmmaker, fashion visionary, and philanthropist was honoured with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award during Grammy Week 2026, a prestigious recognition celebrating his remarkable influence across music, culture, entrepreneurship, and social impact.

Presented by the Recording Academyโ€™s Black Music Collective at an official Grammy Week event in Los Angeles ahead of the main awards ceremony, this award highlights contributions that go far beyond chart success.

The Dr. Dre Global Impact Award specifically recognizes leaders whose work has significantly shaped global culture, business innovation, humanitarian efforts, and musical achievement – a fitting honour for an artist whose career spans decades.Pharrellโ€™s influence on music is vast.

He is a 13โ€‘time Grammy Award winner with a career that encompasses roles as a performer, songwriter, and producer. His work both as a solo artist and as part of highly influential collaborations like The Neptunes and N.E.R.D. has helped define the sound of modern music across genres, from hipโ€‘hop and pop to R&B and beyond. With more than 10 billion combined global streams, his reach clearly extends worldwide.

Beyond performance, Pharrell has made a distinct mark in entrepreneurship and culture. He serves as the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, influencing high fashion while blending street aesthetics with luxury sensibilities.

He has also founded and led initiatives that focus on empowerment, creativity, and community:

YELLOW – a nonprofit aimed at evening the odds for youth through education and opportunity.
