Today, January 28, music lovers across Nigeria and beyond are celebrating the birthday of one of the countryโs most soulful voices – Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, popularly known as Chike.
Born in 1993 in Onitsha, Anambra State, Chike has grown into a celebrated singer, songwriter, and performer whose music continues to touch hearts with deep emotion and authenticity.Chikeโs rise to fame is a story of resilience and steady growth.
He first gained national attention through reality TV music competitions, beginning with Project Fame West Africa, where he made it into the Top 10. That platform introduced his powerful voice to a wider audience and set the stage for even bigger opportunities.
Shortly after, Chike returned to the spotlight as a contestant on The Voice Nigeria Season 1, joining Team Patoranking. His unforgettable performances earned him the position of first runner-up, confirming him as one of the most promising talents of his generation.After his reality show journey, Chike began carving his own lane in the music industry.
In 2020, he released his debut album, โBoo of the Booless,โ a project filled with heartfelt love songs that quickly became a fan favourite. Songs like โBeautiful Peopleโ and โRunning (To You)โ showcased his gift for storytelling and vocal depth.
