Global rap star Nicki Minaj has spoken out once again about the killings of Christians in Nigeria, sparking intense online conversations and renewed attention from international audiences. Her latest comments, shared on her official X (Twitter) account, show the rapper continuing to express deep concern over violent attacks targeting Christian communities across different parts of the country.
On Friday, Nicki posted a series of emotionally charged lines referencing her Christian upbringing and faith. She wrote, “On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other grounds is sinking sand. All other ground is sinking sand. FREE THE CHRISTIANS IN NIGERIA!!!!!!!!!! SHED NOT THEIR BLOOD ANYMORE. ALL NATIONS HEAR THIS!!!!!!!! SHED NOT THEIR BLOOD. YOU HAVE SHED THE BLOOD OF THOSE THAT CALLED UPON MY NAME.”

The message quickly circulated across Nigerian social media spaces, pulling in thousands of reactions within minutes. Her statement follows weeks of rising global attention on insecurity in several Nigerian communities, especially after recent attacks on churches and reports of kidnappings in different northern states.
Nicki Minaj previously drew headlines earlier this year when she commented on the growing concerns around religious violence in Nigeria. Her latest post, however, appears even more direct and urgent, with many Nigerians interpreting it as a call for stronger global intervention and awareness.
Reactions Flood Nigerian Social Media

Shortly after Nicki’s post went live, Nigerian users on X, Instagram and TikTok began to respond, with many thanking her for using her large platform to highlight an issue they feel has not received enough global visibility. Supporters stated that a celebrity of her influence amplifying the matter could pressure international bodies to act more swiftly.
Some wrote that Nicki’s voice carries weight in Western media spaces and may help bring attention to communities that have been living in fear. Others expressed mixed feelings, noting that they appreciated her support but wished African governments would do more without needing global celebrities to intervene.
Still, a significant portion of the reactions expressed gratitude. Messages like “Thank you Nicki for speaking for Nigerians” and “We appreciate you for noticing our pain” became common under trending hashtags referencing her post.
