The Federal Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, has paid a working visit to Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) in Nnewi, Anambra State, marking a renewed push for youth training and job creation in the automotive and technical sectors.

Olawande was joined by Permanent Secretary Olubunmi Olusanya and other senior ministry officials. They were warmly received by Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman and CEO of the Innoson Group.
During the factory tour, the minister was shown Innosonโs operations in CNG vehicle production, tractor assembly and other industrial ventures. He met several young Nigerians who have benefited from Innosonโs technical training and apprenticeship programmes. Among them were two outstanding young women now excelling as auto-technicians and their success was highlighted as proof of what skills training can achieve.
After the visit, Olawande announced that the Ministry will partner with Innoson to scale up youth training, apprenticeship and enterprise development programmes nationwide. The focus will be on automotive value chains and sectors related to manufacturing and technical innovation.
The Youth Minister also met with Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Agha Mba, to explore federal and state collaboration under the โ1 Youth, 2 Skillsโ campaign. Both levels of government committed to equipping young people with practical and income-generating skills that promote productivity, innovation, and self-reliance.
