Sadness has filled the Oyo State political circle following the death of Hon. Bamidele Adeolaโs son, a 200-level student of Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo. The student reportedly passed away on Friday after a brief illness, leaving his family and colleagues devastated.

The late student, whose name was withheld for privacy, was described by those close to the family as gentle, focused, and passionate about his studies. Sources said he had complained of feeling unwell shortly before his passing, and efforts to revive him proved unsuccessful.
According to reports, Hon. Adeola, who represents Iseyin/Itesiwaju Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has received an outpouring of sympathy from political colleagues, friends, and constituents. The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, led other lawmakers on a condolence visit to Adeolaโs residence in Ibadan.
During the visit, the Speaker described the tragedy as โa painful lossโ and offered words of comfort to the bereaved family. He said the Assembly stood firmly with their colleague during this difficult period and prayed for strength and healing for his household.

Several members of the Assembly and political leaders have also taken to social media to express their condolences. Many called the incident heartbreaking and urged the family to find solace in the support of friends and well-wishers.
Residents of the lawmakerโs constituency have also shared messages of empathy. One supporter wrote, โHon. Adeola has always been there for his people. It hurts to see him go through this kind of pain.โ
The university community is said to be in shock following the incident. Students who knew the deceased described him as respectful and dedicated. While funeral arrangements have not been officially announced, family members have asked for privacy as they mourn.
