Kanye West has stirred fresh controversy after posting what he called “The Betrayal”, a list naming dozens of people and entities he believes have wronged him. The post, shared on X (formerly Twitter), opens with the line “I am in pain that no one person can fix. The betrayal.”

In a mix that shocked many, Kanye named Kim Kardashian, his daughter North West, and fellow artists like Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, DJ Diddy, and Jay-Z among others. He also included brands like Adidas and Balenciaga, and went as far as listing fictional characters such as Patrick Star and Curious George.
Many reactions online were swift and strong. Some fans expressed concern about Kanye’s mental state and the emotional toll that must accompany such public displays. Others criticized him for naming a child in what is, for many, clearly meant as a personal “wrongs” list.

This isn’t new territory for Kanye. Earlier in 2025, he published a similar list that included artists, family members, and industry figures. Back then, he had singled out Virgil Abloh, Don C, and global brands in his claims of betrayal.
Observers say Kanye’s pattern of public airing of grievances is part performance, part personal struggle. Some interpret it as a bid for attention, others as a deeper cry for help. The timing of the new list comes amid continuing controversies and fallout from past antisemitic remarks.
