Every ingredient was carefully measured and verified by adjudicators. Hildaโs team used more than 4,000 kg of rice, over 160 kg of goat meat, 220 kg of Gino seasoning cubes, and hundreds of kilograms of vegetables and pepper mix. The cooking process lasted nine hours and required more than a ton of cooking gas to keep the giant pots going.

One highlight of the event was that none of the food went to waste. After official weighing and verification, the rice was distributed across Lagos communities, ensuring thousands of people enjoyed a share of the history-making meal.
This is not the first time Hilda has earned global recognition. In 2023, she set the record for the longest cooking marathon, clocking 93 hours and 11 minutes in Lagos. That achievement drew international headlines and positioned her as one of the most celebrated chefs on the continent.
With this new Guinness World Record, Hilda has reaffirmed her role as a cultural ambassador for Nigerian cuisine, bringing one of West Africaโs most beloved dishes โ jollof rice โ to the world stage in an unprecedented way.
