Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has forcefully denied social media rumours that her attractiveness and the attention she got from fans may have made it more difficult for her to get married.

The dispute started when the actress was quoted in a post uploaded on X (previously Twitter) by well-known media sources Instablog9ja and NaijaPr.

The post read:

“I used to be the center of attention—admired, desired, and blessed with a beauty that opened doors. Yet, here I am… still unmarried. — Adunni Ade,” accompanied by her picture.

The remark, which suggested remorse for not getting married in spite of her prominence and beautiful looks, went viral right away and sparked a lot of online debate.

Adunni Ade, however, quickly came to the platform to correct the record and deny the assertion.

She gave a severe warning and insisted that the misleading story be removed within 24 hours, specifically quoting the post.

The unmarried mother of two made it apparent that the statement was untrue and unsupported by any published or confirmed interview.

“I kindly request that you take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team. I do not appreciate the fact that you’re using my name to peddle false news & articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement,” she wrote.
