Peller Laments Decline of Skit Comedy, Says Creators Are Going Hungry

Well-known Peller, a Nigerian video maker and streamer, revealed his frank thoughts on the skit-making industry’s dwindling profitability.

Peller recently spoke live with fans on TikTok and voiced concerns about the state of the comedy skit scene, saying that many skit creators are finding it difficult to support themselves.

He claims that because the once-thriving industry is now less profitable, many creators are looking for other options.

“You see any content creator for Instagram wey still dey post skit? E no dey pay. All of them don come TikTok. We are doing live video together, can you see. Hunger is killing everybody. Hunger is killing a lot of Instagram people. When last you see say person post funny Instagram skit…”
