Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has offered a positive update on the hunt for Adeola, the daughter of renowned actress Jumoke George, who has been missing for four years.
This comes after Jumoke George disclosed in an emotional interview with Biola Bayo that her 41-year-old daughter had vanished and that she and no family members had been in communication with her during that period.
Biola announced on Instagram on Wednesday that Adeola had been found in Mali.
Adeola has not yet had a direct conversation with her mother, but rumours indicate that she is still alive and receiving medical care.

Biola posted, “UPDATE! Adeola has been spotted in Mali. Though she hasn’t spoken with her mom yet, please tell her to call her. She’s currently in the hospital, but she will be happy to speak with her at least. I’ve tried calling her, but she has not been picking up anyone’s calls, and her mom is really worried.”
Adeola was traced to Mali by the Child Rights Campaign (CRC).
The charity claims that despite being hospitalised, Adeola is still alive, well, and working towards her goals. She had left Nigeria in pursuit of better prospects.
Biola shared a voice call from Adeola in a different Instagram post.
She clarified that she became stranded in Mali after losing her phone owing to a deadly conflict between Boko Haram insurgents and the troops.
According to Adeola, she has been stranded in Mali without any way to get back home or travel documents.
Biola captioned the voice message:
“I finally got to speak with Adeola and this is what she said. She hasn’t called her mom but mom is happy she’s alive. @jumoke_george is currently at a state hospital in Lagos, hopefully she’ll be discharged or admitted after all her medical tests and reports, not sure yet.
“Thank you to everyone for the support….The love has been massive. I’m indeed grateful to you all🙏🙏🙏.”
