Every year, Coachella, one of the most well-known music festivals in the world, draws thousands of visitors to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, to watch some of the biggest names in music play.

Grammy-nominated artist Rema made his second weekend performance on the Coachella stage after his previous engagement was cut short due to technical issues.

With a performance of his hit recordings, the hitmaker who now owns the records for the most-streamed song and the highest-charting song for a Nigerian artist on the Billboard Hot 100 wowed the crowd.

During his first Coachella appearance earlier this month, Rema experienced sound malfunctions that affected the delivery of his set, prompting frustration from both fans and the artist.

However, his second weekend performance proved redemptive, with fans praising his stage presence, visuals, and vocal delivery.

Rema thrilled fans with a performance of his party starters ‘Bounce,’ ‘Ozeba,’ ‘Azaman,’ and his record-making song ‘Calm Down’.

Following Afrobeat legend Seun Kuti and his Egypt 80 band’s thrilling performance last week, Rema’s performance follows suit.

On the first day, the Grammy-nominated artist performed alongside Grammy-winning pop music legend Lady Gaga.

Over 100 performers are on the 2025 edition lineup, with American rock group Green Day serving as the main act.

With over 4.5 million copies sold globally, their 1991 album “Kerplunk” is among the best-selling independent albums of all time.

Superstar Post Malone, whose songs have the most RIAA diamond certifications in history, will be the main attraction on the third day.

Seun Kuti is the Nigerian artist with the most Coachella appearances, having performed at the 2025 edition for the third event.

In 2012, he also became the first Nigerian to perform on stage, making history.

Burna Boy, CKay, Spinall, Fireboy, and Tems are some Nigerian performers who have played at Coachella.

Tems participated in the 2024 edition, with Wizkid and Justin Bieber joining her on stage for a performance of their hit collaboration ‘Essence‘ remix.
