Davido Teases Potential Joint Project And Tour With Close Friend Chris Brown

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido and American R&B star Chris Brown have hinted at the possibility of collaborating on a joint album and accompanying tour.

Davido and Chris Brown have a close personal and professional partnership that has produced a number of fantastic tunes.

The two artists, known for their dynamic synergy, have reportedly recorded multiple unreleased tracks together.

Beyond studio recordings, Davido and Chris Brown have shared stages, with Davido making guest appearances at Chris Brown’s concerts, including a notable performance at South Africa’s FNB Stadium in December 2024.

However, they may be preparing for the release of their eagerly awaited collaborative EP, which would mark another high point in their relationship.

During a live Twitch stream appearance with Cruel Santino, Davido disclosed that Chris Brown would be included on his upcoming album, “5ive.”

In addition, the five-time Grammy nominee revealed that he and the American R&B singer have a tonne of songs together and are preparing to release a joint album.

Additionally, he revealed that they intend to go on a combined tour.

Due in large part to his numerous partnerships with Nigerian musicians, American musician Chris Brown is among the most well-known international Afrobeats stars.

Together, the two have appeared in four tracks since they collaborated on the hugely popular tune “Blow My Mind,” which was taken from Davido’s second album, A Good Time.

Chris Brown featured Davido on ‘Lower Body’ off his album Indigo’. Davido and hitmaking producer KDDO also co-wrote the hit single ‘Under The Influence’.

Before making an appearance on Chris Brown’s “Nobody Has To Know” in 2022, Davido enlisted Young Thug and Chris Brown for the song “Shopping Spree” from his third album, A Better Time, in 2020.

Recent appearances on Chris Brown’s “Sensational,” one of the lead songs from his most recent album, “11:11,” gave Davido and Lojay their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

At the 67th Grammy Awards, Davido and Lojay were nominated for Best African Music Performance for the song.

‘Hmm’, included on the deluxe edition of Chris Brown’s album ’11:11′, is the most recent in their series of joint attempts.
