Peller Apologizes For Calling Runtown An ‘Up-And-Coming Artist’

Peller, a well-known TikToker, has publicly apologised after receiving harsh criticism for calling Nigerian Afrobeats singer Runtown a “up-and-coming artist.”

In response to another streamer’s request to invite someone to their live stream, Peller enquired as to whom the woman wished to invite.

Peller urged the fellow TikTok user not to invite non-famous people to his livestream during his TikTok live.

However, Peller rejected a suggestion to include Runtown in a recent webcast, implying that the artist was unsuccessful and unknown.

His comments caused a stir on social media, with many people denouncing him for disparaging a musician who has made important contributions to the music business.

However, Peller has since issued a public apology in response to the criticism, acknowledging that he knew about Runtown’s influence but had spoken ignorantly.

He clarified that while Runtown was topping the charts, he was too young to completely enjoy the singer’s music.

Peller apologised for his error and begged for forgiveness while livestreaming with his girlfriend, Elizabeth Amoudu.

“When I was hearing Runtown’s music that time, I was too young to even use a phone. Peller never come town when Runtown dey Runtown. Please, forgive the poor boy. Let him breathe. God won’t shame us. I’m sorry, my brothers and sisters,” he said.
