Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has prayed for continued good health for ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.
Atiku offered the prayer while felicitating with Buhari on his 82nd birthday.Posting on X, Atiku wrote: โOn behalf of my family, I felicitate with former President Muhammadu Buhari, @MBuhari, on his 82nd birthday.

Buhari, who clocked 82 years on Tuesday, was born on 17 December 1942 and has contributed immensely to the development and security of Nigeria.
He was Platoon Commander โ 2nd Infantry Battalion, Abeokuta, 1963.
Buhari also served as Commander โ 2nd Infantry Battalion, Lagos, 1967, and later Adjutant and Company Commander โ 2nd Infantry Brigade, Kaduna, 1968.
He served as Brigade Major โ 2nd Sector, First Infantry Division, during the Nigerian Civil War, 1968โ1969.
Subsequently, Buhari held the position of Commander โ 31st Infantry Brigade, Minna, 1970โ1971.
The former president was Acting Director of Transport and Supply โ Nigerian Army Corps, 1971โ1972.He was Military Secretary โ Army Headquarters, Lagos, 1974โ1975.
Buhari was military governor of the North-Eastern State, now Bauchi, Borno and Gombe states, under General Murtala Muhammedโs regime, 1975โ1976.
He was a Federal Commissioner, Minister, for Petroleum and Natural Resources โ under General Olusegun Obasanjoโs regime, 1976โ1978.
He also served as Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, established in 1977, and later General Officer Commanding, GOC, โ 4th Infantry Division, 1979โ1980.
Buhari held the position of General Officer Commanding, GOC, 2nd Mechanised Infantry Division: January, 1981 โ October 1981, before becoming General Officer Commanding, GOC, โ 3rd Armored Division, Jos, 1981โ1983.
He equally served as Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces โ Military ruler of Nigeria, 1983 โ 1985, and later, Chairman โ Petroleum Trust Fund, PTF, under General Sani Abachaโs regime, 1995โ1999.
He was elected President in 2015 and re-elected in 2019, leaving office in 2023.
