Media personality, Tope Mark-Odigie got advice from a call-in listener on how to dress ‘decently’ while on Television.
The moment happened while Mark-Odigie and her co-hosts were live on television for their morning show, “Our View”.
The caller, simply known as Hauwa, who called from Zamfara state, Nigeria, expressed her dissatisfaction with Tope’s choice of outfits, stating clearly, “You are a mother, cover up while on TV”.
“I don’t want to talk about your topic this morning. I’m a bit distracted so I just want to talk about something very important”, the caller started once her call was answered.
“I want to commend you Morayo for the way you dress when you’re on TV, but I really want to raise an observation about Tope Mark-Odigie. Please, Tope, this is for you. Learn to separate roles. Whenever you’re on TV, learn to cover yourself appropriately. You are a woman, you are a mother”.
Mark-Odigie, on the other hand, thanked the caller while respectfully asking her to mind her business.
“Thank you very much Hauwa, I love your feedback. But I am not Hauwa, I am Tope Mark-Odigie and Tope Mark-Odigie will dress the way Tope dresses. NBC is the one that can control me on this matter and I have not disobeyed them so far. Thank you and God bless you”, Tope responded.
