Nollywood Veteran actor, Charles Inojie has announced the end of the family comedy series ‘The Johnsons after 13 years on screen.
Charles Inojie who played the role of Lucky Johnson took to Instagram to share this news, which said, “ THANK YOU, AFRICA. After 13 years of absolute magic, 13 years of awesomeness, 13 years of being the most-watched show on Television, 13 years of being every family’s favorite, THE JOHNSONS are finally taking a bow.”
The family series which aired on Africa Magic on DSTV tells the story of a middle-class family, The Johnsons, as they navigated the complexities of living in Lagos.
This news has come as a shock to viewers who have grown attached to the witty and relatable characters.
Some viewers believe that the show has run its course and deserves to come to an end, while others have expressed gratitude to the characters for making the series worth watching.
One user commented, “It was a great pleasure; thank you for so many beautiful memories,” while another said, “It’s a perfect time to take a bow. Kudos to all of them”.
All in all, ‘The Johnsons’ will forever remain a classic in Nollywood.
