Tiwa Savage, the Queen of Afrobeats, celebrates the remarkable accomplishment of her inaugural movie production, Water and Garri, set to premiere on Prime Video across more than 240 countries globally. Tiwa Savage, known for her triumphs in the music industry, takes the lead in this captivating film that sheds light on African narratives.
Directed by Meji Alabi and filmed in Cape Coast, Ghana, the movie features Mike Afolarin (Far From Home) and Jemima Osunde (New Money). It narrates the tale of Aisha (Savage), an ambitious fashion designer returning home after a decade in the U.S. who must grapple with scars and confront the guilt she left behind.
