After a UK-based airline decided to flout the regulations against the conduct of commercial flight operations, the Federal Government has made a move to impound the erring airline belonging to Flex Jet. The Federal Government stated that the airline was only given a permit to carry out humanitarian operations only since the airspace had been closed since 23rd March, 2020.
The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, said via his tweet handle, “Flair Aviation, a UK company, was given approval for humanitarian operations but regrettably we caught them conducting commercial flights. This is callous! The craft is impounded, crew being interrogated. There shall be maximum penalty. Wrong time to try our resolve!”
