The conference had in attendance one of Nigeria’s prolific singer and songwriter in the person of Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie popularly known as Patoranking, ALU Lecturer, ALU parent ambassadors, school teachers and their students.

The event kicked off with the keynote speech by Patoranking. He started off by giving a background history of his childhood and rise to stardom as well as the hurdles he surmounted.

He mentioned that his life purpose is to impact lives which he is doing in the area of education. Although he loved education, he didn’t get it on a platter of gold because his parents were poor.

He currently caters to 150 children from his home town in Onicha in Ebonyi State for their primary and secondary education.

As a way of expanding his vision he is partnering with African Leadership University with campuses in Gigali the capital city of Rwanda and Mauritius in Cape Verde to give 10 disadvantaged citizens of Nigeria a scholarship for their university education.

So far, about five thousand people have applied and ten students that stands out will get a life time opportunity to take up their university education at ALU which will give them a fair advantage internationally.

He also stated that it was easy to partner with ALU since the school’s vision and mission aligns with his.

He concluded by saying that he hopes that most of his colleagues will take a clue from what he is doing and also do their bit in impacting lives.

The students and their teachers present at the event were so elated. They asked questions which were answered accurately by the lecturer and Patoranking.
