Workers clearing the rubble from the Bangladesh factory collapse made an astonishing discovery Friday as they uncovered a woman who was trapped in the wreckage for 17 days and survived.
Rescuers heard the faint cries of the woman, known only as Reshma, saying, “Save me, save me” as they continued to pull victims from the site of the horrific tragedy.
Severely malnourished and unable to walk, the woman was immediately brought to a military hospital, where she was given food, water and oxygen. Sadly, the unbelievable survival story came just a few hours after the number of victims in the building collapse had topped 1,000
